I’ve always believed no one could love organizing as much as I do… until I discovered Marie Kondo. She’s my spirit animal in every way! I’m obsessed with anything that screams, “I’m super organized!” Recently, I found a few budget-friendly items that transformed our spice drawer into something that looks like a million bucks. And yes, if you’re feeling ambitious, you could totally DIY your own drawer insert—but I’ll admit, I’m not that ambitious!
Our spice drawer interior measures 3.25 inches high, 16.5 inches wide, and 20 inches deep.
Spice jars $20 for 12 jars (I ordered 3 packs)
Labels $8+ depending on how many you buy.
Drawer insert $44 (I ordered the small. It also comes in large. These can be cut to size but some of the comments said not to attempt that.)
I store the backstock of spices in the cabinet above the microwave. They’re close enough for easy refills but out of the way.

What size labels did you use? The 1.25 x 2.5?

Hi, have another question, where did you purchase all your spices. I’m done with the drawer just need to purchase spices, wondering if there is a wholesale online. Thanks!

Hi, where did you put your spice drawer in your kitchen. Having a hard time to decide on a place.

That’s a great question. I cook a lot so I put it next to my stove top. If you bake a lot, I would put it next to your largest counter top area. Hope that helps!

Thank you! That is what I was thinking. I have a good size drawer being used for junk next to our cooktop. I plan to use that area. My drawer is larger but I purchased the small and thinking about putting something on both sides with the spices in the center. Hope it’s how envision! Thank you so much for this blog. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time but wanted to turn my faux drawer underneath my cooktop for my spices but I received a lot of caution with that. However I’ve seen it done online a lot.
