I like to have small gifts ready that I can give to neighbors who stop by or my kids can take to their teachers and friends at school. I like to keep it inexpensive and festive. These came in right at $2.50 per gift.
I started off by ordering these cute hot cocoa mixes from World Market. They come in a pack of 12 and each one is a different flavor. I found some small Santa themed bags on Amazon to put the hot cocoa inside of.
It still needed something else so I decided to add some candy too. I made some cranberry and pistachio bark that will keep for weeks.
Recipe: Melt two bags of white chocolate chips at 30 second intervals until melted. Stir in between. Mine takes about 1.5 minutes to be fully melted. Pour the white chocolate onto parchment paper and spread with a spatula until about 1/4 inch thick. Add whatever you like on top while the chocolate is still warm. I used dried cranberries, salted pistachios, red white and green sprinkles. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes and then break into pieces.
I put a few pieces in a clear pretzel bag, tied some twine around it and added our tags…
I ordered these cute gift tags with a picture of our family on the back so neighbors would know who it was from if its left on their porch.
I added a few additional pieces of candy and stapled the bag closed so the items wouldn’t fall out in transit and that was it! A sweet, little gift as a thank you to the people in our lives.

Other thoughts… I looked high and low for small little bags of marshmallows and couldn’t find any. I also considered making marshmallows but didn’t seem to have it in me this year. I opted for some easy to make treats to add with the hot cocoa.
