I’ve been looking at a ton of art lately. I think it makes your space feel personal, lived in and polished. I’ve also noticed how expensive art can be and I’m not quite sure why. Most of it seems to be an image printed on paper. I can understand if it’s an original painting and took a long time to create but that isn’t the case with most of the art on the market.
I decided I was ready for my next DIY project and set on a quest to create beautiful art as inexpensively as possible. I’ve had a blank wall above the toilet in the master bathroom since we moved in. I’ve been feeling like it needed something and this seemed like a great opportunity.
Introducing my master bathroom DIY art project! Everything is printed using standard white 8.5 x 11 inch printer paper. Everything was printed at home on our home printer. This DIY art could NOT be cheaper!
Links to all the supplies I used:
- 8×10 black matte metal picture frame
- 11×14 black matte metal picture frame
- Set of two wood floating shelves I chose the linked shelf color because I thought it would go well with my barn door. There are many colors to choose from.
From my Etsy shop (each printable is $3.00):
- Black and white flower printable I have lots of different flowers that go together if you would like to make a collage.
- Black and white love quote
I paired this grouping with a few items I had around the house… vases, candle, sponge to finish it off.
Happy DIY friends!!
XO
