Our First Finished Room: The Mudroom Reveal
After moving into our new home a few months ago, I’m excited to finally share our very first finished space—the mudroom! From the moment we started dreaming about this house, we knew the mudroom would be a key space. In fact, we had our hearts set on painting it a light blue even before the papers were signed.
We wanted this room to feel more intentional, not like an afterthought. To achieve that, we added extra molding to elevate the space and give it that tailored, custom look. For design inspiration, we turned to Jenny Marrs’ book House + Love = Home, which was a big help in guiding our choices.
The color we ultimately went with is Vibrant Horizon by Magnolia, and I have to say, it’s even better than I imagined! Right now, the room is staged for Fall, but I’m confident this shade will transition beautifully through every season. The soft blue adds a calm, welcoming touch that feels just right no matter the time of year.
This is just the beginning of our journey in this new home, and I can’t wait to share more rooms as we finish them. Stay tuned for more updates from our little slice of heaven!
